About

I am an MD-PhD Trainee in the Cardiac Bioengineering Lab at QIMR and in the UQ Faculty of Medicine. I am currently training as a Clinician Scientist to combine my love of direct patient care with my fascination for bioengineering solutions to clinical problems.

I am motivated to help innovate experimental therapies, with a strong emphasis on translational research, surgical models, and commercialisation. I look forward to using these new tools directly in the clinic to help my future patients.

I completed my MASc in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (2021) at the University of Toronto. There I worked with Dr Michael Laflamme at the McEwen Stem Cell Institute studying cardiac cell therapeutics, and applying them in preclinical transplantation models.

For my PhD, I am working on developing bioengineered approaches for congenital and adult heart repair with Professor James Hudson (Cardiac Bioengineering Laboratory, QIMR) and Professor Enzo Porrello (Heart Regeneration Group, MCRI).
