About
Dr Nathan Stevenson is a biomedical engineer with an interest in brain development from infancy to adolescence. He has a PhD from the University of Queensland and joined QIMR Berghofer in 2018 after spending time abroad at the University College Cork, Ireland and the University of Helsinki, Finland.
He builds devices and codes algorithms for analysing physiological signals to track growth and detect normal or abnormal brain activity from seizures to sleep states. These tools increase the specificity of early interventions and ensure infants, children and adolescents have the best chance at a long and productive life.
