The World Science Festival is returning to Brisbane in March 2025!
QIMR Berghofer is celebrating 80 years of influential medical research and will open its Education Lab to visitors during the World Science Festival Brisbane.
QIMR Berghofer Education Lab gives thousands of high-school students a taste of what life is like as a medical researcher each year. The lab will be open to visitors of all ages where they can take a look at scientific equipment in action and get hands-on with a number of scientific processes. Visitors will throw on a lab coat and dive into the world of genetics, learning hands-on skills used by our researchers every day.
Spend a day in the life of a scientist, learning how DNA plays a role in not only inheritance and evolution, but in disease development, treatment and prevention.

10:00am to 2:00pm (a 45mins duration each lab experience at 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:00pm)
