Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Undergraduate Research Traineeship
As part of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Research Program, QIMR Berghofer offers an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander undergraduate student a paid 12-month work experience placement.
QIMR Berghofer values the integrity, solidarity and resilience of Indigenous Australians, the traditional owners and caretakers of this country, and pledge our expertise to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people overcome the disparity between their health status and that of non-Indigenous Australians.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated a proficiency in their chosen university course as evidenced by academic performance. Eligible applicants are required to be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and provide confirmation of Aboriginality, in the form of a letter of support from a community representative or organisation. The trainee is required to undertake full-time academic study for the duration of their traineeship. Appointment is for 12 months.
