Background
Pancreatic cancer has extremely poor survival. The PanLink
dataset is a national linked dataset that aims to understand more about causes, factors influencing survival, and early diagnosis.
Aim
Projects can be designed to fit in with the interests of students. For example, students could examine the association between use of specific medications and risk of pancreatic cancer.
Approach
This project uses a lot of complex data management and
statistics, and requires students with experience and aptitude using
statistical software packages such as SAS and R.
