Teacher Professional Development

Calling all Senior Science Educators!

Get hands-on with the latest in medical research through our immersive Teacher Professional Development workshops.

Held in our purpose-built Education Laboratory, you’ll join a great group of science educators to gain hands-on experience in lab techniques that you can seamlessly integrate into your classroom. Along the way you will road-test some relevant literacy tools, critique the relative benefits of different laboratory activities, and tour our research facilities.

Designed for years 7-10 science and years 11-12 biology teachers, the workshop focuses on genetics and cell biology activities which align to the Australian Curriculum for Science and the Queensland Senior Biology Syllabus.

The workshop costs $60 per teacher (ex. GST) and includes morning tea, lunch, a certificate of achievement and all lab materials. Head below to book your place.
